The SOUTHERN OREGON RENTAL OWNERS ASSOCIATION (SOROA) was founded in 1971 and organized to unite rental housing owners, property managers, and business professionals in Jackson and Josephine Counties. Its aim is to promote the rental industry at a highly ethical and professional business level.

What is SOROA ?

The Southern Oregon Rental Association is a group of rental housing owners and managers in the Jackson and Josephine Counties who have joined together for the purposes of:

  • Providing information and education to improve the knowledge of rental owners and managers.
  • Enhancing the reputation of Landlords and Property Managers by promoting professional practices by leadership and example.
  •  Lending our support and assistance on various community endeavors relating to public and private housing.
  • ┬ĚProviding quality residential housing and making a fair profit.

Our association is one of 15 local associations of the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA).

Our chapter has over 500 members which represent over 17,000 rental units in the Jackson and Josephine County areas.

We also have representation at the State level via our local Legislative Representatives which meet with the other chapter representatives several times a year to deal with legislative issues of interest to Landlords and Property Managers as well as other issues of interest to all chapters. At these meetings we also discuss items with our State Legislative Lobbyist.
